What an awesome way to start 2019. After my busiest holiday season yet taking photo mini sessions for tons of families in the Ho Chi Minh City area, I was ready for a slightly slower pace! I also have been dog-sitting and housesitting since the beginning of November, and bouncing around homes that frequently, in addition to my workload, was making me a bit worn out. So when the opportunity came to photograph a resort that was a couple of hours east on the coast of Vietnam in an area called Ho Tram, I was all in! I was able to stay in a luxury resort community in a private villa that opened up on to the secluded beach for five days. It was so necessary. Now, I still worked every day and took thousands of photos for the resort, but there was plenty of down time that involved me completely chilling out in the sun. The images I took included lifestyle shots, food and beverage themed photos, exterior photos, and detailed snapshots of what life at the resort was like. A major bonus was getting up before sunrise one day and walking along the beach to the nearby fishing village. I saw the start of their day and think some of my favorite photographs are from that morning.
A lot of work, a lot of sun, and just what I needed. Let's see what else 2019 has in store for me!! XO, Danielle Desnoyers Photography
