I've been back in America for a little over a month already! How time goes by so fast is completely beyond me. I've already spent time in Wilmington, NC; Richmond, VA; and

Well, Christmas has come and gone. It was my first time being overseas and away from my family during the holiday season. Can't say I particularly enjoyed it, to be honest. I knew it would be difficult, but even with FaceTime and WiFi, it just wasn't enough. I will probably do everything in my ability to be with family in the future during the holiday season. However, being in the city of expats,  I'm back!! This is the first time through all my years of traveling, working, and living abroad that I've gone back to a country that I already resided in (except for America, where I grew up and lived for most of my life). I was in Vietnam for over seven months  View from the balcony of a home I am petsitting at in Ho Chi Minh City. For those of you who don't know, I was born and raised in Syracuse, New York until the age of 11. My parents have an insane amount of siblings and cousins that mostly still live in the surrounding areas of upstate New York, and we would go up at least once or twice a year after we moved for holidays and vacations in the summer. My parents have an old cabin  As a freelance photographer, I work with a lot of families and youngsters capturing portraits and family group photos... And kids can be finicky. As you are all very well aware. Any little thing can turn your angelic munchkin  One of the main reasons I was so interested in living and working in Saigon, Vietnam in particular, was because of the expat community that lives here.
