Well, this year is finally drawing to a close, and I know everyone has been THROUGH it in some way. I wanted to send one final blog post for the year and wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season. I also wanted to recap

How is it a new year and a new decade?! Welcome to 2020, everyone! I spent my second holiday season in a row in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It's so hard being away from family and friends in America, but I filled my schedule with lots of photoshoots, petsitting for multiple families, and  It feels surreal to type this, but my six months in America is over already! It feels like I just got here, and that I JUST left Vietnam! So crazy, but I'm currently en route back to Ho Chi Minh City for another amazing  All of my social media graphics now showcase what my focuses are on: family, portrait, travel, and documentary photography. Exciting things happening! Whew, it's been a hot summer in America, and I live in Vietnam part of the year, so that's saying something! But the heat hasn't stopped me or my AWESOME clients from getting out there and creating  I've been back in America for a little over a month already! How time goes by so fast is completely beyond me. I've already spent time in Wilmington, NC; Richmond, VA; and  Vietnam just set a record for the hottest day (110 degrees Fahrenheit), and it's only April. It's been unbelievably sweltering, so I am already in a summer-state-of-mind. SO! I am thrilled to announce my "summer plans" and where I'll be starting in May. Drum roll please.....  Well, Christmas has come and gone. It was my first time being overseas and away from my family during the holiday season. Can't say I particularly enjoyed it, to be honest. I knew it would be difficult, but even with FaceTime and WiFi, it just wasn't enough. I will probably do everything in my ability to be with family in the future during the holiday season. However, being in the city of expats,  I'm back!! This is the first time through all my years of traveling, working, and living abroad that I've gone back to a country that I already resided in (except for America, where I grew up and lived for most of my life). I was in Vietnam for over seven months  View from the balcony of a home I am petsitting at in Ho Chi Minh City. For those of you who don't know, I was born and raised in Syracuse, New York until the age of 11. My parents have an insane amount of siblings and cousins that mostly still live in the surrounding areas of upstate New York, and we would go up at least once or twice a year after we moved for holidays and vacations in the summer. My parents have an old cabin  And that's a wrap, folks! I honestly cannot believe September is about to be over. Where has 2018 gone?!??! It's basically Halloween, which is practically Christmas. So realistically, it's already 2019, and I cannot even handle it.  |
