Hello friends. Who would have thought that I would be titling one of my posts around a global pandemic? This has turned into a very hard and strange year, in a very quick amount of time. I am writing this from the safety  A health clinic in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

How is it a new year and a new decade?! Welcome to 2020, everyone! I spent my second holiday season in a row in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It's so hard being away from family and friends in America, but I filled my schedule with lots of photoshoots, petsitting for multiple families, and  It feels surreal to type this, but my six months in America is over already! It feels like I just got here, and that I JUST left Vietnam! So crazy, but I'm currently en route back to Ho Chi Minh City for another amazing  All of my social media graphics now showcase what my focuses are on: family, portrait, travel, and documentary photography. Exciting things happening! What an awesome way to start 2019. After my busiest holiday season yet taking photo mini sessions for tons of families in the Ho Chi Minh City area, I was ready for a slightly slower pace! I also have been dog-sitting and housesitting since the beginning of November, and  I'm back!! This is the first time through all my years of traveling, working, and living abroad that I've gone back to a country that I already resided in (except for America, where I grew up and lived for most of my life). I was in Vietnam for over seven months  View from the balcony of a home I am petsitting at in Ho Chi Minh City. For those of you who don't know, I was born and raised in Syracuse, New York until the age of 11. My parents have an insane amount of siblings and cousins that mostly still live in the surrounding areas of upstate New York, and we would go up at least once or twice a year after we moved for holidays and vacations in the summer. My parents have an old cabin  I have been in Vietnam for six months today. FYI, that sentence makes me so happy! It, of course, feels half like I've been here for much longer than that and half like I've just arrived. Six months is a  One of the main reasons I was so interested in living and working in Saigon, Vietnam in particular, was because of the expat community that lives here. I love capturing images  Well, five months in to living in Vietnam, and I've been experiencing a few more downs than ups lately. I suppose you can say my "honeymoon phase" has started to fade. It's all a part of life in general, of course. There are bound to be issues and things that happen. It just seems like  After being in country for a few months, I feel like I'm starting to get my grip on life here! I remind myself often that I was not only just moving to a new place, I was moving here alone and without the support  |
