First Christmas Overseas

Well, Christmas has come and gone. It was my first time being overseas and away from my family during the holiday season. Can't say I particularly enjoyed it, to be honest. I knew it would be difficult, but even with FaceTime and WiFi, it just wasn't enough. I will probably do everything in my ability to be with family in the future during the holiday season. However, being in the city of expats,

I was not totally alone! I had a ton of friends to spend time with, and for some of them, it was their first time being away from family as well. So we had a Christmas Eve party full of booze and food and all the kids in holiday jammies and games for the adults. We had a big turkey dinner on Christmas day. I bounced between houses and celebrated with numerous families. And I was on the phone CONSTANTLY with my own family so I could see my nieces and nephews open their presents and annoy my brother, just as if I were there in person. 

And honestly, I filled my time up so much in the past six weeks with photoshoots, that I didn't have as much time to wallow and be sad. So that worked out real well! Check out some of the photos below from recent photoshoots. I had a blast and was busier than I have ever been. It was a great learning experience about how to book back-to-back shoots and keep it original to clients and manage my time for editing the photos in a timely fashion.

I'm extremely grateful for how busy I've been and how many people have trusted me to capture their memories. This year has ended with a bang, even being so far away from my loved ones. I can't wait to see what's in store for 2019. And don't worry, I'll be sharing it all with you!!! Hope you have had a blessed and happy holiday season.
